The Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest has 7 faculties, 6 of which have programmes in Romanian and one in foreign languages (English or French). In addition to this, there is a department of foreign languages. The six faculties with Romanian teaching programmes (Industrial and Agricultural Civil Engineering, Hydrotechnics, Railways, Roads and Bridges, Installations, Technological Equipment, Geodesy) offer university education both for the first four-year cycle of study (bachelor degree) for which an engineer qualification is awarded, as well as for the second cycle, master’s degree (3 semesters). The Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages offers a 4-year university programme for engineers, while at the Department of Foreign Languages and Communication a 3-year university programme in the field of applied modern languages (translators and interpreters) is available. Part of UTCB’s offer there are also 5-year evening classes for engineering studies at the Faculty of Installations and the Faculty of Technological Equipment.

“Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași is one of the oldest and most well-known institutions in the country, being the keeper of an important tradition in engineering, scientific and cultural education. Its image provides a distinct presence both locally and nationally, as well as internationally. The university prepares highly-qualified engineers, able to qucikly and efficiently respond to the innovation, research and development requirements of economic agents. Programs for the continuous updating of the professional skills of engineers, imposed by the existing worldwide realities and trends are also available. The university carries out specific activities of creation, innovative valorisation of knowledge and its transfer to society in the fundamental fields - Engineering Sciences, Architecture and Urbanism - as well as in interdisciplinary and complementary fields in the local community, at a regional, national and international level.

The structure of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca is complex, it comprises 12 faculties distributed in the two university centers, Cluj-Napoca and Baia-Mare, plus the extensions in Alba-Iulia, Bistrița, Satu-Mare and Zalău. The educational offer, organized according to the Bologna system, includes bachelor, master and doctoral programs, as well as continuous training programs.

Along education, the main priority of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca is research. All faculties of the university are provided with research structures, from collectives, groups and laboratories, to research centers and platforms. Performance anchored in the perspective of the socio-economic environment, international visibility and cooperation, as well as scientific innovation and interdisciplinarity are some of the characteristics of the research environment of the Technical University of Cluj - Napoca.

Politehnica University of Bucharest (U.P.B.) takes on the mission to train specialists in different technical fields, able to use valuable scientific, technical and cultural-humanistic knowledge in order to contribute to the technological, economic and social-cultural progress of the Romanian society and the contemporary world. U.P.B. ensures to provide a performant education system, developed and refurbished through complex research activity, continuing the tradition of the Bucharest Polytechnic School, according to the exigencies and means offered by the modern information society.
